An angry neighbour left an anonymous 94-word rant on the windscreen of a 'selfish driver's car who parked outside their home.
The fuming local from Frecheville, in Sheffield, vented their anger in the note after spotting a car they believe was left by a commuter.
However, the incident has left residents divided with one even claiming the owner lives on the street and has parked in the same spot.
In the note the resident claims the car has now left them unable to park in their own street, chastising the unknown driver as 'cheap' and environmentally unfriendly.
The note begins in red capital letters: 'I'm a selfish commuter who comes and parks badly on your street, taking up too much room because I can't park.'

However, the incident has left residents divided Tracey Ledger said: 'I agree on this, for those that live on that road where they have to fight for parking, there must be nothing worse. I know some will say that's not their problem but not everyone has a drive-in garage'
It then continues in black writing: 'I come each day and park here, then walk to work elsewhere probably because I'm too cheap to pay for parking or be sensible and more environmentally conscious and to take the bus.
'I do this and park, taking up so much space that you can't park here, and I don't care because I'm a single commuter in a car and I don't care that you now can't park on your own road.'
A photo of the note was shared on social media by Sheffield Online Community last week asking locals in the South Yorkshire city for their thoughts.
The post received hundreds of likes and comments, but the reaction was divided over how wrong the parked motorist was.
Brin Staniforth wrote: 'I'd go to the extent of buying a cheap car, getting it taxed and making sure it's just barely roadworthy and parking it there, leaving it for a few years.'

'I'm guilty of owning more than one vehicle and I'm guilty of parking miles away and walking into Sheffield for hospital appointments but it has made me think about where I park in future. I'm a taxpayer but fair dos.'
Karen Lamb commented: 'I wonder if the driver of this vehicle has reported the person sticking the notice to their windscreen?
'Criminal damage - just saying. Assuming said person has the balls to own up to it of course?'
One resident claimed the owner of the car lives on the road and has been parking their for two years
Claire Bullivant said: 'I think the issue is when people take more than one space up when they park. It happens on our road every day. I am happy to park away from my house, but it winds me up when people park with no thought'

In a similar situation last year, a war of words erupted in a Derbyshire neighbourhood in an exchange of angry messages posted on cars in a row over parking, with this response to the initial note
Claire Bullivant said: 'I think the issue is when people take more than one space up when they park. It happens on our road every day.
'I am happy to park away from my house, but it winds me up when people park with no thought that they have taken up two spaces on a road where hardly anybody has a driveway, as I would at least like to park on my road.
'It's just about considering others, which is sadly lacking in today's society.
'Having said that, the commuter does have a right to park there, just don't take up more room than necessary.'
Gemma Harrison claimed: 'The owner of this car actually has lived on this road where they've parked their car for two years.'
In December last year, a war of letters broke in Glossop, Derbyshire, after a mystery car owner delivered an angry letter to every neighbour on his street in response to a note asking them to 'refrain from parking on the grass verge.'
The angry hand-written two page letter was in response to a letter left on their car which said: ‘please kindly refrain from parking on the grass verge’ as it would make it look ‘unsightly’.
However, a ‘triggered’ motorist appeared to then photocopy this note and add their own angry reply that they then posted to the entire row of neighbours.
It demanded the culprit ‘never put something' on their new car because it was 'private property’ - before declaring they can ‘park where they want’ as they pay their road tax.
